Montacute Road
Rear extension with kitchen and dining.
The palette of interior finishes Montacute Road is based on the existing Victorian black and white ‘Ennerdale’ tiles in the front entrance hallway. New black and white tiles, with a contemporary geometric design, were selected specifically for the kitchen. The monochrome theme was continued across the rest of the kitchen, alongside warm timber to which accent colours were incorporated.

Keen to maintain the fluidity of the open-plan living space, the physical guarding required between the upper and lower levels of the extension became critical to the design. A bespoke, CNC-milled screen was designed to preserve a visual connection between the different spaces. Central to the interior design, the guarding references geometric patterns seen within the new floor tiles.
